Waanders in de Broeren, opened in 2013, is a unique bookshop. In a monumental church building built in 1465, shopping was turned into an experience. This business entails more than selling books; catering and all kinds of ancillary items are part of the total, innovative concept. Wim Waanders, the inventor and former-owner: “Publishing, printing, and selling books have determined my life for 50 years. With the realization of this unique challenge, my company also incorporated other activities, such as a catering industry, gift products, exhibitions, and stage and music performances. In order to bring more structure to the organization, mid-2017, I asked Jordi to be the interim manager for Waanders in de Broeren for six months”.
