Filmhuis Den Haag (Art cinema in The Hague) is more than just an arthouse cinema; it is a cultural meeting place. When it expanded its opening hours and catering services in 2013, the art cinema grew in visitor numbers and also changed the way it operates. Josien Buijs of the Filmhuis Den Haag: “We changed from a classic art-house theater with catering establishments to a venue with full-fledged film experience. That also demanded a different way of working. With the growth in visitor numbers, a different way of providing directions became necessary. We already had an idea about this, but asked Jordi to think this through with us and help with the implementation”. The larger role of catering services was new to the Filmhuis Den Haag, but Jordi Wientjes is experienced in both cinema and hospitality. “Jordi was the right person for the job. He really added value because of his expertise and his way of working”.
